Qvevri – 8000 Years of History
Qvevri is a symbol of rebirth, eternally recurring around us. Charged with wisdom dating back eight whole millennia, it’s buried deep underground and left. When the time comes, wine, full of newborn life, finds its way into a bottle.
What remains overground is a crossroad of worlds; past and present, life and death. No wonder Georgian wine awakens something primal in its enjoyers, stemming from the very core of our collective subconscious.

Grape Variety
Vinification time varies depending on the desired results. Different grapes and grape combinations require various maturing times.
Maceration
In a more traditional approach, grapes fated to become wine are macerated in Qvevri for several months, “mother”—skins, stems and seeds—included.
Amber Wine
The old-school winemaking style is widely practised to the day, to yield a unique, amber wine rich in tannins like Rkatsiteli, Kisi or Khikhvi.
Red Wine
Saperavi is the most widespread aboriginal red grape variety from the region of Kakheti. Distinvtive aromas of Saperavi makes the wine unique.

01. Methodology
Qvevri is an egg-shaped vessel used for fermentation, ageing and storage of traditional Georgian wine. At a glance, the recipe is pretty straightforward: you bury a Qvevri underground, place your grapes inside and leave them to transform. The rest is magic, meticulously executed.

02. Why Qvevri?
Subterranean climate maintains Qvevri stable 13-15°C, creating a perfect, nurturing environment for wine to be born. Qvevri wines are characterized by a unique enzymatic profile and complex, unexampled taste.

03. National Pride.
Deep down, every Georgian is a poet. A glass of Rqatsiteli only helps you believe it.
